About our Training program

The Training program is about sharing the skills and knowledge needed to improve our society's performance on stewardship, collaboration and social justice. We provide workshops and seminars that touch on all the domains of happiness, led by experts in their field, and with as much discussion and interactivity as possible.

Our approach

We believe that all people have the ability to contribute towards sustainability and that it will take all of us working together to bring about a sustainable, just world.  The purpose of our training program is to spread information and connect people to improve all of our knowledge, skills and practice.

Most of our workshops are limited to small group sizes to encourage a rich conversation within the group.  Instructors are encouraged to use a participatory process and careful attention is paid to ensure participants are provided the opportunity to deeply learn and apply lessons and tools in the class setting.  We strive to build community and to ensure there is time for all to explore and share knowledge, resources and capacity towards sustainability. We offer sliding scale fees to allow people with limited resources to take part.

Our brownbags are donation-supported events that showcase thought leaders and experts for the goals of sustainability for our region - as outlined by the nine domains comprising the Gross National Happiness index.
