Join us for an intimate reception with the honorees and nominees\, followed by a ceremony and inspirational stories from four outstanding sustainability change agents. Your registration includes a drink ticket\, free Frankie & Jo’s ice cream\, and a meet-and-greet with the honorees. \n2021 Award Categories:\n\n\n\nThe Heart of Sustainability\nHome for Good\nFood & Gratitude\nPolicy for People\n\n\n\n\nCommunity-centered awards\nNominations are made by the community and honorees are determined by a group of community adjudicators. Award categories align with themes identified by community members in the fall of the previous year. \nPrevious honorees include the Seattle Mariners\, King County Equity Now\, Vu Le\, Tracy Rector\, Rosalinda Guillen\, Lisa Wilson (Lummi)\, Got Green\, Beta Hatch\, Dwell Development\, and many others.

DESCRIPTION:Back by popular demand! \nSailgating = Tailgating on boats. Welcome to our safely distant social gathering option! \nShow up in your own floatation device\, creativity welcome! Floaties\, kayaks\, paddle boards\, sailboats\, motor boats.. the sky is the limit! Or join us on shore in a socially distant fashion. \nJoin Sustainable Seattle as we host a talk and picnic in South Lake Union. This year we will focus on Seattle’s watersheds and how we live with respect and reciprocity as residents of a water-abundant region. \nExpect watershed experts BJ Cummings (Author\, The River That Made Seattle) and Paulina Lopez (Executive Director\, DRCC)\, live music\, water-and-land activities and games\, and wonderful community. This event is great for all ages to learn more about how to responsibly and ethically call this region home. \nFirst choice date: June 8 \nSince Seattle is known to have a gloomy June\, we have posted alternative dates.
