Join Sustainable Seattle on Earth Day Weekend for Resilient Foundations on Saturday, April 23rd at 11:30am at Garfield Community Center.  This fun, informative, and engaging fundraiser brunch introduces  the new local Soil Health and Justice coalition focused on soil research, education and community action, a collaboration between S2 and  Basilica Bio, a team of scientists and racial justice activists.

About the event:

The Soil Health and Justice Coalition is composed of community leaders committed to reversing the impacts of environmental racism, environmental toxins, contaminants and pollutants through community-centered education, research, and action. 

You’ll leave this event with a better understanding on how to prioritize and address soil quality, food justice, and public health issues in our region with a solution-oriented and interactive presentation and on site demonstrations with soil health experts

Brunchy snacks and drinks will be provided. Guests will have the option to stick around after the fundraiser to volunteer with Basilica Bio’s garden project at Garfield Community Center.
