Sound Listening.

Listening with and to the community

Support Sound Listening & In Sight Artists

Sound Listening is an interactive, multimedia community-created resource that engages with and documents Seattle’s sustainability priorities.

Every three months, a new Sound Listening theme is activated through a community-informed process. The theme guides discussion prompts on social media, meet-up themes, and think tank topics, connecting community together in a deep sustainability conversation.

Resources gathered during each theme are archived on the Resources Page.

At the end of each quarter, S2 sums up each theme with:

Sustainable Thoughts, a personal synthesis of the quarter’s key themes, concepts, and priorities told through the perspective of a compassionate analyst or community member.

In Sight, which artfully interprets each Sound Listening theme through analysis and personal experience. In Sight expands on sustainability topics in ways that extend beyond spoken language, engaging different ways of knowing and processing information.

In Sight prints are available on the Community Market and benefit artists and S2 community programs.
